Glenn Hatton

am retired but have been working in electronics and IT since leaving school. I started as an apprentice for ICL "International Computers Ltd" in 1974 at the Winsford site. After the site closed I joined a small company in North Wales named Remsdaq again working in the electronics design and implementation field. This was followed in 1982 with a move to Barclays Bank providing a trouble shooting role in the branch network systems specialising in computer communications. During my time at Barclays I was part of the network systems design group and the Microsoft design and support group becoming a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. In 2005 a Barclays restructure transferred some of its IT design and Support services to British Telecom. From 2005 until I retired in 2015 I was part of British Telecoms Design and Consultancy Services Group specialising in Windows Server design systems and VMWare virtual systems. My hobbies since retiring have been clay pigeon shooting, Swimming, and woodwork. The woodwork hobby lead me to joining the Men-In-Sheds organisation in Winsford where amongst being able to enjoy my woodworking hobby I also get to take on IT projects including WordPress website design.
